Hi monica edwerd,
With permission I would like to add another tip here. To make any picture stored on your computer (or a picture you are currently viewing) your desktop background, right-click the picture, and then click Set as Desktop Background. For more details you can check the below mentioned article from Microsoft:
Change your desktop background (wallpaper)
