My wife has a Dell Inspiron 1520 and the drivers were corrupted when the system path engiromental variables was changed and then a backup and restore was executed. One of the main issues comes because the drivers forlthe cd/dvd are corrupted so it will not read the discs. How do I fix this? Please help.

Hi KC Hendricks,

From your post I understand that you had done a Factory Restore on your computer after the System Path Environment Variables were changed. After Factory Restore you have the problem with the Optical Drive Drivers. If this is the case, please download and update the Optical Driver firmware from here.

Please reply if you have any further queries.
