Gmail attachment problem Closed

Question

I'm brand new to this site; I joined in desperation to find a solution to a problem that came out of nowhere!  I've used Gmail for years with IE and no issues.  All of a sudden, I can't attach anything to my email.  As soon as I try to attach a file, IE freezes and gives me an error message, "Internet Explorer has stopped working." IE then proceeds to close and re-open Gmail.  I'm using IE10 and as far as I know did not do any software upgrades or change any settings.  I tried updating Adobe Flash as was suggested in one forum and tried restoring "Advanced settings" in IE, all to no avail.  Any solutions out there!  Thanks in advance!

Download Chrome or any OTHER web browsers then your blue will be gone. Never use IE to log in Google. There will always be problems with IE. Other than IE nearly all of the current web browsers support Gmail.

I tried those solutions before I posted.  I reset advanced settings in IE (btw, I'm using the latest update of IE 10), I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Flash Player; I even uninstalled IE10 and then re-installed it.  All to no avail.  Gmail still will not take any attachments!
