LAN works but DNS not responding on laptop windows7

For more than 1month..internet not working on my laptop(windows7) getting network from my PC(windowsXP) and diagnosis on laptop said:"DNS Not Responding" but unexpectedly I still have my LAN between them!.. I tried everything and lookined everywhere but nothing.. I almost give up and going to the final solution(format OS) but suddenly I found the forum and the answer of question:"https://ccm.net/forum/affich-35257-connect-but-can-not-access-the-internet-help" by Md Vasiullah to download the software at link "https://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Network-Tweak/WinSockFix.shtml" and follow the instruction and adding TCP/IP : 192.168.0.1 and DNS prefered server :2.2.2.2 as usually after rebooting ... amazingly I get back My Internet to my laptop hoocked directly to my pc...thank you very much Md Vasiullah..
