Please help my laptop wont work

i have an acer laptop, the screen wont light up, i tried hooking it up to a different monitor to be able to use the laptop, but no matter what i do i cant see whats going on. please help any info would be GREAT!!!

So it might be your system crashed up instead of the problem in your monitor...
You have to boot up your PC with a external drive now. I can recommend you to do it with one software called 
windows 2003 system restore
