Cant type the letter when numberlock is off

hello,
Im using a lenovo y470 notebook, and the keypad is just merged on other letters,
for example, if numlock is off, i can type j, k, l, and if numlock is on, i can type 1, 2, 3 instead.
But now the problem is, when my number lock is off, i cant type the letters which is related to the keypad, but other letters still work fine.
Can someone please help me solve this.

Hi,
Try this,
1: Turn off numlock on your laptop.
2: Plug in an external keyboard.
3: Probarely numlock is on, turn it off on the External,
but leave the laptop allone.
4: Now its both off,
5: unplug the Keyboard
6: Now it will be fine!
