The very best on the market are F-Secure and Kaspersky.
For you own good and safety, stay away from all Norton Symantec products.

I have been using Kaspersky Pure for years and like the many features, including a "safe money" protection for internet banking.
With Kaspersky, you are required to renew the license each year, which is about $56 and I think it is worth every penny. Kaspersky updates its database daily.
Kaspersky also has its own firewall so Windows firewall needs to be deactivated.
I have found Norton installed on new computers but not activated, I suggest that program be erased. I tried McAfee once, years ago, but found it lacking.

On the basis of my and mine friends circle, I have seen that Avast and Kaspersky is best. But I would like to mention you one more thing that no antivirus is bad. if you will keep it updated.
