Light goes on but screen does NOT work

I have an HP 250 laptop that was bought two months ago. Yesterday I switched it on and the power light went on but the screen stayed black and after about a minute it switched off completely by itself. I left it for about three hours and then the laptop switched on perfectly normal, with the screen and everything. It happens over and over again. what is the problem? Thank you

It's best to return it to HP for warranty service. It's probably a power supply or motherboard problem.
