i have been scrolling and trying most of the solutions for resetting my ultrabook to factory settings - nothing has worked to this point and it seems to be getting worse. now after pressing 0 and the power button i am getting the following message:

Reboot and select proper Boot device
or Inser Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key
____

What do i do now??

Yes...i did try this but once i hit the power button to turn on the laptop, it goes directly to that reboot black screen and i have held down the 0 button continuously and never makes a beeping sound even after 3 minutes...

This certainly sounds as a hard disk failure. Sorry, but...

to the repair shop it must be sent.

Hello again Smitty,

I was surfing around this forum and other sites, you would not believe the number issues related to Toshiba and since Toshiba does not give recovery disks, one gets stuck good.

You may wish to try this boot Cd ?
