hey,
you told me to format my pen drive using hp usb disk storage format tool ,but it gives a message that:"there is no media in the drive".Can't able to format my pen drive normally and also by other pen drive related tools. Some of them even don't detect my pen drive since it not for hp pendrive.
Also check the disk management from computer management option and tried to format and change the path of the pen drive...........but it was of no use.
Please help me to fix this problem else my 16 gb hp pen drive will go waste.
not used it for more than a month.
please help ......
Thanks for your response.

Looks like your pen drive is physically damage and they can't be repaired.
Some pen drives on the market, mostly made in Asia, are fakes and unreliable.
Sorry

Don't be Sorry.
Well, I went to the HP pen drive service center and told them about this problem.
They checked the pen drive and since it was in the Warranty period(which is for 2 years from date of purchase), they changed my pen drive and gave me a brand new 16 GB hp pen drive for free of cost .
Now, I am very happy:-) and thanks for your responses.
