Hi hope someone can help. I've upgraded my hp pavilion dv9429us from vista to 8, my problem is, HP doesn't have drivers to support the upgrade. When i try to see the make it is only showing universal usb hub and ports. The sd card reader works just fine. I've uninstalled, rebooted and scanned for hardware and same thing. I've even flashed the bios nothing seems to help. On top of that it's also saying my coprocessor needs driver updates and can't find anything on that either
Any help would be appreciated
Terri

Hi, not sure about your usb drivers but when i looked up your laptop there was a battery recall.
Here's the link to see if you have a faulty battery: http://bpr.hpordercenter.com/hbpr/

Did you install 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 8?

Have you tried installing the Windows Vista CHIPSET drivers from the HP support website?

If you still cannot get it to work then your laptop simply isn't compatible with Windows 8.

Have you tried running Windows Updates as some drivers may come from there?

Yes unfortunately.

If they haven't released the drivers for Windows 8 and you cannot get them via Windows Update then it is not compatible.
