Ok, hang in there. What instruction did you follow when you turned up the modem? Is this ADSL or cable? What does your ISP say about it?
When you perform IPCONFIG, is your gateway in the same IP subnet as your client?

Alright good job. Is this modem an approved modem by your ISP? If it is, then ask them to suport you. If it isn't then it won't work.
You do understand that you are paying for support. Your ISP is charging you money isn't it? If it isn't you get what you pay for. NOTHING!
I am confused why you are not jumping up and down on your ISP desk. They want you to consume their services, that is how they make money.
Without you letting me know what steps you have taken to ADMINISTER THE MODEM CORRECLTY, I cannot support you.
IS this cable or ADSL? IS IT PPOE? Do you have a username and password?
