Hello,
For some reason, when I insert date formatting into Excel on my work computer, the numbers that appear in the spreadsheet are completely different than the numbers I have inserted. Example: Format is set to DD/MM/YY. I insert today's date, "040414". This populates on the sheet as "24/08/10". Why would this happen? Any suggestions? I've tried new worksheets and different date formats with the same strange results. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
Best,

Ok, what is happening, is Excel is converting your number into that many days after Jan 1 1900. 40414 days after Jan 1 1900, is 8-24-2010.
You wil have to enter the data as a date format, not a number.
I have started to try to get the conversion, but My phone won't stop ringing, I do appologize for delays.
