Problem in renaming a ms office word 2007 document

Hello,

when i tried to RENAME THE file name of ms office word 2oo7, a dialogue appears that if you tried to change file name extension it may become unusable. what is solution for this

Rename the file without a file extension that is without a dot for example;

Instead of paper. ext you will write paper
