Hello,
I have two 1Tb Seagate HD. The older one, (about 3-4 yrs.) is recognized by my Acer tablet. It mounts and unmounts in the settings and is accessible as usb storage. My new HD is seen by my PC (windows 8.1) but not by my tablet. Any ideas?

BTW, some of the files on my older HD will no longer load through my blue ray player, but they will load in my smart tv. Unfortunately, my smart tv is way too small to watch Lord of the Rings.

Thanks for any help.

Hello,

what is the file format of the old HDD vs new HDD?

did you format the new HDD with Windows 8?

have you tried formatting it to FAT32 and trying?

Hiya: I just checked and both drives are NTFS. I have absolutely no idea what difference that makes! I need to take some courses. Thanks, again.

I think you should go onto the manufacturers website and check the technical specifications for the types of external storage your tablet supports.
