Play PS3 on my Laptop?

Hey guys.
I'm very confused, some say it is possible and some say it is impossible, so i look for a plain answer, a very simple answer to my question:
Can i Plug my PS3 into my laptop? The laptop model is a Acer Aspire s3.
It have a HDMI plug-in but i don't know if it is A in- or output!
I would be grateful to have some help at this point!
