My laptop wont turn on after i inserted universal DC adapter

Dear all, I both universal DC adapter and not cheap one since i forgot my original charger at my parents house and i urgently needed another. I plugged it in and since then my laptop does not work. I cant turn it on and there is no light indicating anything, also when i try with original charger it wont work anymore. Model is Asus 56CB xx285. Is there anything i can do to save my laptop or am i doomed?
