Where is the sound you are talking about? TV, PC, Laptop, phone, iPod, movie or theatre actors, your hearing aids ?

Sorry, did not explain it well. It is when playing movies or streaming video etc through my laptop. It is a laptop problem, as I described, as if the speakers are breathing helium, or close to that. The film or video is running at the correct speed. It occurs with youtube features as well.
Would be very grateful for some assistance with this.

Well, it's difficult to know the reason as your issue is a rare one.
Have you experienced this problem before or is it recent?
What is you lappy's make and model? How old is it? What is your operating system?
If the videos are running at the correct speed and this is happening with different sources, if I were you, I would first try to update the sound card driver.
I trust that you have Flash Player installed.
