WD Passport is not being recognized by my laptop

My WD Passport is suddenly not being recognized by my laptop (PC) The light comes on and then begins to flash and continues to do so. I already tried devmgmt.msc and the WD did not come up on device manager and I received nothing yellow.

Thoughts?
