Problem with recycler: Unable to open Drives

Hello,

I'm having this queer problem of having all my drives locked. Somehow my computer got affected and every time I try to open the drives by Double-Clicking a message is flashed saying,

"Windows cannot find 'RECYCLER\S-2-6-74-100019507-100020780-100017916-9173.com'. Make sure you have typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search."

How am I to get rid of this problem? While I right click on the drives the options are displayed in the following order -----> Autoplay-Open-Search-Explore. Please advice me what to do!!!!!!

hi,
you need to run an updated anti-virus.
this will clean your computer and mak it free from viruses.
then you will have to repai your windows for the damages caused by the virus.

I have the same problem! Check the autorun, the one it says your missing is in there.

Hello,

My WD My passport 1 TB external hard disk is showing the error when I try to open drive. I am not able to see my all old data. I can see just two folders: 1) Recycler; 2) System Volume Information.

Please help me to solve the above mentioned issue as I have important files in my external hard disk.

Hello,
when I put a usb in my pc I always see these shortcuts and a folder named
RECYCLER. Please help me
I did a scan with UsbFix, and I have this report :

and after clean the virus returns

-Removable Hard Drive-
It been infected after I used my removable hard drive in 1 of the pc at Cyber Cafe. Lot of files in a red box has lost, its my assignment and need to recover ASAP, I'd check both recycler files properties its 31GB size, but when open it there is nothing inside,

I've tried use the attrib -h -r -s /s /d d:\*.* . It turn like the 2nd pict inside the folder of recycler. I believe it is my file but in other format and other name which is cannot be open,play or preview. Please help me.
