Security certificates causing probs

Have not used my Sony vaio in ages. Fired it up and discovered security issues preventing access to web sites. Tried Google, explorer and FireFox. Get messages that site is blocked because of security certificate or untrusted page. What do I do? Facebook, Pinterest, Google search also appear as text only, and not even remotwly as they should be. Thinking system restore? Factory reset? Can anyone help?

Your CMOS battery probably discharged and the BIOS date reverted to the date it was created. The old date then creates the certificate error. If you you correct the date error it should fix the problem.
