Above tutorial is only for how to retrieve data from shortcut virus. For disabling it you have to also kill the task wscript.exe
Go to task manager (Ctrl + Shift+Esc ).
Now in processes there will process named as Wscript.exe end it.
Till your next logon your system will not create any shortcut in your USB.
You can do the same using cmd as well.
Open cmd.
Type "taskkill /im wscript.exe" without quotes.
enter.

# Connect all your external data sources to your PC (Usb keys, external drives, etc...) Do not open them.
# Choose " Deletion " option.
#The computer will re-start, and it may be longer than usually.
# UsbFix will display a message at re-start.
# Click "OK" to start cleaning.
# Copy/paste the report here.
