How to recover deleted file in Windows xp?

Hello,

I had saved all my files, presentations and reports of my college project on laptop running on Windows XP OS. By mistake, deleted them by using "Shift + Delete" keys. I don't have any backup for that. I tried to recover deleted files but I can't help it. Any body suggest me data recovery software or tools so that I can recover deleted data.
