Acer Notebook PC ZE7- black screen

I have a Notebook PC Acer. I got it 2011. Model num: ZE7 marketing name:Aspire one D270, AOD270.
I can turn it one, Acer logo appears, screen shows computer has experienced unexpected shutdown - I select run windows normally- the screen then turns black. I have my mouse arrow onscreen and can move it- but nothing else! No icons, no start menu- nothing!! What do I do? Please help!!

Try the hard reboot process:
1. remove the battery and power cord
2. push and hold down the power button for 45 seconds
3. restore battery and power cord
4. restart the laptop
