Hi,

I'm trying to refurbish an old Satellite P200-19V that came with Windows Vista Home Basic. I have a problem, though.

It won't show anything. Even the back light doesn't turn on.

But here's the part that gets me:

The power LED turns on.

There's definitely something going on there. I just can't get it.

I can't boot into the BIOS, even. Absolutely nothing.

Except the fact that it definitely has the ability to read disks. The tray can pop open, I put a disk in and close it. It seems like it's doing something.

Can you help me?

Sorry it looks like you have a fatal motherboard error. The DVD drive has internal logic chips that handle things like opening and closing the tray.

Good Luck
