Black screen problem occurs mainly because of outdated drivers or corrupt system files. Consider running startup repair for at least 2 or 3 times to ensure that corrupt or damaged files have been replaced or repaired successfully.
Start tapping F8 just after starting your system to get into Advanced startup options. Choose System recovery options and hit enter. On the next screen, choose Startup repair and follow the on screen steps to repair your computer.
Alternatively, you can perform startup repair using Windows installation disc. On the very installation windows, you'll find an option to repair your computer at the bottom left corner.
