Help - How to recover my Yahoo account

My Yahoo mail account was hacked late last year or early this year. I have since unable to register a new password to assess my account for some unknown reasons. I tried to contact Yahoo customer service centre many time but without getting a response from them. I am very much disappointed. The main reason for me to get back to my account is because I use the yahoo account user name/password for my Samsung Galaxy phone for update of my applications and also some important documents that I saved in my account.
