Windows 8.1 If we change email password linked to the laptop/lo

My sister's computer has a few letter keys not working (we don't know why) that are used in login password. The log in is her hotmail email and password. If we change her email password that is linked to the laptop/login, will it automatically change her login password so that she can actually log into her computer?
