Look if you are trying to turn a new PC on HDMI, you are on a losing battle. Get it running with standard EQ then upgrade stuff!

Is the TV set to the HDMI "channel"/setting? Im not using the correct terminology, but like DVDs use a "channel" such as "AV", some TV's have a "HDMI" or "PC" channel for computers. Try these and see if that is the issue.
