ya understood.. First you check your monitor got power, check the power cord and
video card which provides picture to the monitor sometimes it may be loose... first switch off the CPU.....Remove all hardware attached to the CPU and then attach again and then switch on the cpu again.....change the USB port of the keyboard and mouse, try this first........if didn't work... try this with another CPU...

Try to find in device manager whether it works properly or not..
my computer --> right click --> manage -->device manager --> click keyboard mouse options and check it
