Hi,
Im unable to install any windows xp or windows 7 O.S into my harddrive.. when i try to install O.S, it goes good till completing installation step.. after that it hangs or no response from the system.. While setup is running, At the 2nd hard restart Harddrive is not detecting in the BIOS.. I have to unplug the HDD cable and then when reconnecting the HDD is showing properly.. For every restart HDD is not detecting.. Pls suggest me to fix this issue.. Im using GIGABYTE MOTHERBOARD and SATA Harddrive..

On the Setup of your bios.
Choose the ATA instead of AHCI on the SATA configuration..
then now apply the changes. then insert your cd on the cd rom. make sure you have chosen the cd as your first boot device.
