Help my desk top turns but the screen goes black after a few secs. I've been gone for about ten days and it started. I've unplugged held the power button in and so far nothing works

Try pressing F8 when you see the Windows Logo. This should start "Safe Mode". From there you should try to restore the computer to a restore point before the problem started.
