Hi there,
Have tried starting in Safe Mode or using the Last Known Good Configuration from the Advanced Boot Menu, accessible by pressing F8 on start up?
While on the black screen, can you enter the task manager, by pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL? If you can, click Processes, find explorer.exe and click End Process. Then click File, New Task. In the text box enter explorer.exe and click OK. After that enter Device Manager, find Display Adapters and update driver.
Hope this helps
