Hi there,

Are we talking about an internal drive? If the file system has changed, how does it appear now? Is it RAW? What options do you have when in Disk Management and right clicking on the drive? Check if it is possible to assign a letter. If you do not have any important information on the drive, try formatting it, using the Diskpart command from the Command Prompt. I leave you some more details about the command.

https://ccm.net/faq/34271-windows-the-diskpart-command - Using Diskart Command.

Hope this helps

Yes it is looking raw but when i try to right click on disk management the program has become unresponsive and automatically system restarts

Unfortunately, if the drive appears as RAW, that may be a sign for a drive failure. In general, your drive's file format can not be recognized and appears as RAW. Is this an external drive? Do you have some important information on it?

Are there some noises coming from the drive? Is the drive visible in BIOS? Try changing SATA ports and SATA cables. If there is no change, I would recommend you to remove the drive from the PC and connect it to another one. I would boot from Linux Live CD to see if the drive will appear correctly there. You might get a chance to copy your data.
