Problem in installing os..

hi friends,
I tried to install windows xp professional in ibm machine, it is 2002 make....
during set up the scree remains the same while SETUP STARTS WINDOWS action came..
i guessed that it may be a harddisk problem..... give your sujjessions..........

may be the hardisk, may be the processor of IBM cannot support WINDOWS XP Pro,
