External disk not detecting in windows 7 machine

i have my passport WD 1TB external harddisk .
It was working fine before . But now i can able to see the drive in my machine(windows 7 OS).
when i connect the hard disk it blinks and i am getting sound .when i open my computer it shows one extra drive with 0 size .But in my hard disk i have data under MyData folder (which is not showing now ):(
And down right of status bar i can see my passport device to eject(safely remove device).
