Apologies for novice question firstly. Not good with pc terminology and phrases that ive come up against when trying to google solutions to my dilemma. Hopfully someone will be able to assist in a pc for dummies logic for me.

I had stored hp compaq d530 for just under year and now when we have tried to restart it in order to copy files (photos etc) to external hard drives it will not reboot. It originally when trying f10 & f9 came up with an error 63 message - Time and date not set the system time is invalid etc etc. I then was able to finally get to setup menu changed dates saved etc then when it trys to restart I now recieve a bad disk error even though no disk inserted?

I suggest you charge it for an hour or so and then try to boot again. It appears that the CMOS battery discharged hence the invalid date etc.

If all else fails you can try removing the drive and using a USB drive adapter to read the drive directly into you other computer.

Good Luck
