Itunes has disappeared from myPC

Hello, ITunes icon has disappeared from my desktop. There is no iTunes reference in my programme file. I think the music (over 8000 tunes) is still on my PC somewhere. How do I get iTunes and music back please? Help!!

Thank you for reply. I have had no success yet. I have HP PC (64) .I have used iTunes for years but now suddenly I have no trace of it as outlined in my first posting . I have tried to re download iTunes from iTunes store but it doesn't work. Any ideas please?
