Excel question

Hello,

I am looking for a formula for excel: I have three tabs, how to make one cell automatically return to "1" within the first tab; and the cell would automatically return to "2" within the second tab, so on.

This might work for you but we may need more information.

Put this in a cell in each of the sheets:

=SHEET()

It returns the Sheet number position regardless of its name.
So the 1st sheet returns 1, 2nd sheet returns 2 and so on.
