Toshiba laptop ... black screen on start up

Hello,

I have a Toshiba laptop, operating on Windows 7. I took this laptop with me one day while working at an event, brought it home, and it wouldn't boot properly. When I turn it on it says loading files, with a bar across the bottom. It then goes to the windows start up screen and from there it goes to a black screen. I have tried numerous different ways to get the computer running and cannot... All help is appreciated!

Hello,

Try this 1

1) When you switch ON your computer, start tapping the "F8" key to

get "Windows Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc"

key and keep tapping the F8 key)

Select the option "Last known Good Configuration"

2) If the problem still exists then follow Step 1 and this time select

"Repair Your Computer" and follow the onscreen instructions.
