Hi, I apologize in advance, I am not very computer literate.
I have a Gateway netbook that won't go passed the user log in screen. I can only access my desktop in safe mode.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you install any new hardware?

Thank you for your reply. No, I haven't installed any new hardware. It hibernated (not sure if that's the correct term) and when I restarted it, the process would freeze at the log in screen.
