Hi Bennygh,
I would recommend you to check if the drive is visible in BIOS. If it is not, I recommend you to try the drive in another PC. You could try using a Linux Live CD. Sometimes it is really helpful when trying to copy a valuable data. Sadly, if the drive is missing from BIOS, even on another PC, you may need the assistance of a data recovery company to retrieve your data.
