Did someting spill on it?
Take some time, and read the complete instruction prior to starting. Please understand this is something that is safe if you do it right.
Unplug the laptop from the wall
unplug the PS from the laptop
Take a CLEAN WASH towel; or, a coffee filter or two. This is the cloth.
Dampen the cloth with RUBBING ALCOHOL.
Rub the cloth on the keyboard, as to clean the sticky stuff off of it!
Let it dry, and try it again.
