Win XP Home Edition re-install

Hello,
My mini laptop is playing up so much, I want to format the hard drive & re-install Win XP Home Edition. I have the key for it, but my mini laptop does not have a cd drive, but it does have USB ports. I also have a normal size laptop with cd drive, can I/how do I proceed with what to do .? I am not a techie so any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you, Neil
