Ipod touch 5g with broken home button

Hello,
My ipod touch randomly shut off and will not turn back on. I have left it charging thinking it was a battery issue but it has not turned on. My home button is jammed so i cannot reset it like everyone says to. Can anyone help??

Without the Home button there is nothing you can do.

It finally turned on but it had criticl battery and made me charge it. Why does it do this? Does anyone know?
