You did not tell that you have speaker, what is the os, Desktop model,what about Device manager ?

Can you hear sound from other program like video program? If you can hear sound from other programs, the music program most probably is mute.
If this is not the case, send more info about the problem. Like have you use speakers when you hear the sound?
