hi,
you may do it.
but if you already have windows installed in the new computer's hard disk, it is recomended that you format the drive after removing your data.
you can connect it to your computer, but you will have to set it to slave mode.
you need to change the jumper setting. it is the small plastic part near the IDE connector.
you will see the settings details on the hard disk itself.
then you will be able to connect it.
