How to restore system

Hello
I attempted to get rid of an virus but now my computer logs and immediately off. I have tried to use all safe mode options but it logs off there also I have a recovery disk But my cd rom is not working..it won't even open.
Is there another was to restore without losing data, if not is there another way to restore period. Please help and please be specific and detailed, still learning about computers.

hi,
you wont be able to restore your computer if it is logging you off each time.
you may connect the hard drive to another computer to retrieve the data on it.
but make sure that the other computer has an updated anti-virus installed on it.
