Word 2010 shows it is a dot.com file for some reason

Hello, I created a word doc and see the file, but when I try to open it, it comes up as a blank doc with no name. In the file listing, I see the file name and when I last changed it, and the size of the file, but when I click on it, I get a blank page. Another thing, it shows it is a dot.com file for some reason. How can I get the file to come up?

What is the procedure you are following to create the file?

When you save the file, what is the file format inscribed at the bottom of the window?
