Macbook Pro - Hard Drive Crashed

Hello,
Macbook pro Hard drive crashed completely. had a folder with a question mark flashed at the screen. the Mac techs here in Oman told me that its a complete hard drive crash. I've replaced with a new Hard drive myself and restored Mac OSX. Now its happens to be I've got important folders on the old drive of which I am in grieve needs.
I tried connecting the old Hard Drive using USB to Ide/sata adapter but the disk wont show up. please help me out

Hello,

Unfortunately, If the hard drive is really broken, (mechanically broken), it's not possible to retrieve all your datas, even in a USB box or any SATA adaptor - imagine is the heads readers, inside this HD, are broken... how the HD could be read ?
